So Sunday mornings are for fellowship & big broad strokes, making sure you’re on the same track. Small groups are for personal connections, discipleship, & to ask questions. Finding an elder member of the church is about personal mentorship & guidance. Finally reading the Bible daily is where you grow your roots & really begin to understand who God is & cultivate a personal relationship. It doesn’t matter what denomination of church you are in. That church is a collection of your brothers & sisters in Christ. You measuring your intentions & the reading the Bible will always be your foundation. If you still feel like Sunday morning is the best part of your walk with God, that means you’re not spending personal time with him.

Honoring the Sabbath is not the Mosaic Law, it’s God’s law. “God spoke all of these laws” to all who were with Moses. The people asked Moses to speak to God for them moving forwards because they were afraid. The 10 Commandments are God’s law (all laws given thereafter. Hence the “Mosaic law”). We are no longer bound to the law (required to keep for salvation), but it is still sin. Thou shall not murder is listed in the same 10 commandments as honor the sabbath. Murder is a sin and so is not honoring the Sabbath. Sin just separates us from God but does not damn our eternity because Jesus made us all righteous.

Maybe she should know... Churches through history use the music common to the times. We are to REACH out to the world to draw them into Christianity. PLUS we want this songs to stick in our brains so we will keep worshipping. Are their generic churches yes. However, if the Holy Spirit is actually MOVING in a church service he will talk the message for the Listener. It can reach different people differently. She is just longing for her past. True Protestants protest against the Catholic Church and other fallen Babylon churches that follow the Catholic Church, they keep the Bible Sabbath Holy on the seventh day of the week.
